Guide Note: Leon Greenman, a British citizen, was living in Holland in 1943, when he and his family were arrested by the Nazis for being Jewish. They were sent to Auschwitz in Poland, where his wife Esther, and three year old son Barney died. Greenman was moved around, surviving six different death camps. After the war, he he dedicated his life to testifying about the Holocaust. He died in 2008, at age 97.
