Legace Trips on Palin Carpet
Superstar goalie Manny Legace was injured when he tripped on a carpet laid out in the ice for a ceremonial dropping of the puck by Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin.
The game took place on October 24, 2008 and featured a match between the Los Angeles Kings and the St. Louis Blues.
This was the second time that Sarah Palin dropped a puck before a hockey game. At her first appearance on October 11, 2008, before the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers game, Palin was booed by the pro Obama crowd in Philadelphia.1
