Larry Mendte
Philadelphia news anchor Larry Mendte has admitted to hacking into the personal e-mail account of former co-worker Alycia Lane hundreds of times between March 2006 and May 2008. Mendte pled guilty to the charge of illegally accessing a computer, a federal offense, and was sentenced to six months of house arrest. At the sentencing, Mendte apologized to Lane, who was present at the courtroom. On top of the six months, Mendte will have to perform 250 hours of community service and pay a $5,000 fine.1

Mendte is married to another Philadelphia news anchor, Dawn Stensland, who allegedly confronted him about his relationship with Lane in 2005, thus kickstarting the feud.4 Mendte was a news anchor for KYW-TV (CBS3) for the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. news in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, until he was fired in June 2008 after the FBI placed him under investigation.2
