2008 Tour de France
July 16, 2008: Lannemezan is the starting point for the 11th stage of the 2008 Tour de France. The stage, which comes after the first day of rest in the bicycle race, runs from Lannemezan to Foix over a distance of roughly 105 miles (167.5 kilometers). It is mostly flat with few large inclines.3
