Brief Background and Synopsis
Based on the classic 1970s children's television show, Land of the Lost is being co-produced by the Kroffts, who have been seeking to have their show made into a movie for many years. In February 2008, Universal Pictures gave the green light to the project, which was scheduled to begin principal photography in March. The television series included a race of menacing lizard people called Sleestaks, a race of friendly apelike humanoids called Pakuni, and various species of flying, fire-breathing, and marauding dinosaurs.
