Lake Delton Homes Washed Away

On June 9, 2008, an embankment supporting Lake Delton, a man-made lake in Wisconsin, collapsed under the weight of flood water that had built up during the previous weekend's storms.

The rush of water pulled three homes from their foundations and damaged two more. A section of highway was also damaged.
