In a popular viral video and an advertisement for Nike shoes, LaDainian Tomlinson is seen in an "old school" workout with mixed martial arts fighter Kimbo Slice. In the video, Tomlinson bench presses with a barbell of two old air conditioners, boxes with an old refrigerator and leg presses a 2,000 pound car.1
The video begins with music playing. A black corvette pulls in front of a middle class home. The car door opens and LaDainian Tomlinson takes one step out of the car revealing his Nike shoes. He is then seen knocking at the front door of a house, when mixed martial arts fighter Kimbo Slice answers. Tomlinson and Slice are then seen talking directly to a camera set up in a backyard. Kimbo states, "This is your boy Kimbo Slice, and you are in my backyard. Who we got here is L.T. We're getting ready to show you all the reason why he is the man in the league. Check this out." Tomlinson then says, "This is the old school way, back in the day when we didn't have nothing. This is what we used to do, taking y'all back."
The video then cuts to Tomlinson bench pressing two old air conditioners, while Kimbo Slice spots. He next boxes with an old refrigerator. Slice opens the freezer door and LT ducks to dodge. Tomlinson then leg presses a red four door sedan. LT yells, "Put some weight on it" and "I could do this all day." Kimbo Slice says, "This is my sister's car" and "it's only 2,000 pounds." The video ends with a group of men lined up with 2x4's and Tomlinson ready to run through them.1
