L'Alpe d'Huez France

Alpe d'Huez is a mountain pasture and ski resort located in the Central French Alps. Nicknamed "Island in the sun," this mountain is the ending point of stage 17 in the Tour de France 2008 race. This route is considered the "toughest of the tour," with riders climbing almost 15,000 feet mountains. ¹
