Kylie Minogue
Kylie Minogue is an Australian pop singer, songwriter and actress. She was born on May 28, 1968 in Melbourne, Australia. Minogue's sister, Dannii, is a pop singer and her brother, Brendan, is a cameraman in Australia. Minogue has been romantically linked to INXS lead singer Michael Hutchence, photographer Stephane Sednaoui, and actor Olivier Martinez.

Career
Minogue began her career with roles on soap operas at the young age of 12. She made her singing debut in 1983 on the show Young Talent Time. In 1986, Minogue landed a role in the soap opera Neighbours. Minogue signed a recording contract with Mushroom Records in 1987. Her single "Locomotion" was the highest selling single in her home country of Australia for the 1980's. Her debut album titled Kylie was released on July 4, 1988. A year later, Minogue starred in the film The Delinquents. She went on to play in the films Street Fighter, Moulin Rouge! and Voyage of the Damned. On November 10, 2007, Kylie appeared on the television show titled The Kylie Show. Her more recent works include White Diamond, The Vicar of Dibley and Men Behaving Badly.
Breast Cancer
Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer after an initial misdiagnosis. She underwent surgery on May 21, 2005 in a hospital in Malvern, Australia. She began chemotherapy after her surgery. She had an outpouring of support from friends and fans. She made her first public appearance after her surgery on July 8, 2005. She went on to release a new single titled "Over the Rainbow." Her childrens book titled The Showgirl Princess, written during her sickness, was published in October of 2006.
