Kingston Trio
The Kingston Trio had a major significance on the folk music culture. The group's first hit, a cover of the folk song "Tom Dooley," hit the music charts in 1958. The Trio is credited by many with helping to usher in the folk music revival in the U.S. in the late 1950's.1
