The Los Angeles-area socialite Kim Kardashian stars with sisters Kourtney and Khloe on the E! reality series Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Kardashian is the daughter of the late Robert Kardashian, a member of O.J. Simpson's "dream team" of defense lawyers, and Kris Jenner, now the wife of decathlete and Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner.

After gaining notice in the press as 'Paris Hilton's best friend,' Kardashian made gossip headlines in February 2007 when a homemade sex tape featuring herself and R&B artist/producer Ray J went public. Kardashian at first denied the existence of the tape until it was sold by an unknown party to the X-rated video company Vivid and commercially released. She later received a $5 million settlement from the company.

Kardashian owns two clothing stores with her mother and sisters: the medium-high-fashion Dash Boutique, and the children's store Smooch. She launched her own clothing line in October 2007, and posed nude for the December 2007 issue of Playboy.
