Winner of the 2003 Golden Globe award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role, Kim Cattrall is best known for her portrayal of "Samantha Jones" on the HBO series Sex and the City.

When she was just one year of age, her family moved to British Columbia, Canada. At the age of 11, she moved back to England and attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art before moving back to Canada to complete high school. After her graduation, she moved to New York City after she won a scholarship at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Cattral began her career in teen sex comedy's like Porky's and Police Academy. Her lead role in Mannequin in 1987 earned her critic and fan favor in audiences across the United States.

After many roles in film, she became in instant commercial success with her role as the confident and sexual publicist "Samantha Jones" on Sex and the City starring Sarah Jessica Parker. The show ran for six seasons, and the cast reunited on film for the highly anticipated movie.
