There are several factors to consider when purchasing clothing for children. The most important factor is practicality and fit. A common mistake by parents is choosing aesthetically pleasing outfits, without considering the comfort of the child. Children's moods are drastically affected by their physical condition. All though an outfit looks nice, if a child is uncomfortable it could add unnecessary stress to an environment or situation. In general, fabrics should be durable yet soft to the touch.
