Naked Chase
Police say as they were responding to a report of a naked woman running around an apartment complex on August 14, 2008, Khaihilah Woodson allegedly jumped into her car, put her two children in the back seat, and drove off. Authorities say Woodson, who was still naked, led them on a car chase, at times reaching speeds of 80 miles per hour. The chase ended when Woodson's car hit a spike strip laid down by police. Reports say when Woodson was taken into custody, police could "smell the odor of PCP emanating from the driver, and she appeared to be under the influence of something."1 2
Quote
"It's always a tough decision when we decide to chase, because we always have to take innocent bystanders into account. But when you have two innocent kids in a car and somebody that's high on narcotics, we look out for the welfare of those children."—Kansas City Police Department Captain Donna Greenwell1
