WWE Career

Kevin Fertig signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2002. In 2004, he was given the gimmick of Mordecai and added to the SmackDown brand. However, the gimmick only lasted a few months and Fertig was sent back down to OVW.

In 2006, Fertig joined the ECW roster as Kevin Thorn, a vampire character who was accompanied to the ring by Ariel. In 2007, Thorn's image was changed and the vampire gimmick was dropped. He was eventually taken off of WWE television and sent to train in Florida Championship Wrestling.¹
