Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant is a professional basketball player currently with the Oklahoma City Thunder of the NBA.

After his freshman year at Texas, Durant entered the 2007 NBA Draft and was selected 2nd overall by the Sonics. He made his NBA debut on October 31, 2007, scoring 18 points with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Durant continued to have a good season and averaged over 20 points per game. These numbers earned him the NBA Rookie of the Year Award.

Shortly after being drafted, The University of Texas retired Durant's #35 jersey.
