Kevin Cogill
Kevin Cogill was arrested on August 27, 2008, by FBI agents for posting nine songs from
Guns N' Roses unreleased album, Chinese Democracy on his blog, Antiquiet.com. The songs were later removed from the site after Cogill received a letter from Guns N' Roses' attorney, but they quickly spread across the internet.

The Crime
The leaked songs included "Rhiad and the Bedouins," "If the World," "Better," "The Blues," "Madagascar," "IRS," "There Was a Time," "Chinese Democracy" and another unidentified song.3 Cogill plead innocent of the charges on October 20, 2008. A trial is pending.4
Cogill was arrested on suspicion of violating federal copyright laws. He faces a maximum sentence of three years in a federal prison.5

On the official website for Gun N' Roses, the band does not seem interested in Keven Cogill, but want to find where the album was leaked from. Their official statement is as follows "Presently, though we don't support this guy's actions at that level, our interest is in the original source."6
