Kenny Johannemann
Kenny Johannemann worked as a part-time janitor in the World Trade Center when it was attacked and destroyed on September 11, 2001. He was waiting for an elevator when the first explosions occurred, and when a man fell out of the elevator, he helped him to an ambulance and saved his life. Johannemann appeared on the Jenny Jones television show, and received a letter of commendation from the White House. But he fell into depression and alcoholism, and was facing eviction from his New York City apartment when he shot himself to death on August 31, 2008.1
Johannemann's account of 9-11 included basement explosions, which are viewed by some conspiracy theorists, like talk radio host Alex Jones, as support for the 9-11 Truth Movement. These persons view Johannemann's suicide with suspicion.
