Kelsey Smith

Kelsey Smith, an 18-year old high school graduate, was abducted from a Target parking lot on June 2, 2007. Her body was found on June 6, 2007. Edwin Hall, a suspect in her kidnapping and murder, was charged the following day.

On July 23, 2008, Hall pleaded guilty to killing Smith. According to reports, Hall stood before Judge Peter Ruddick and entered his plea of guilty to capital murder, aggravated kidnapping, rape, and aggravated criminal sodomy. Hall faces life in prison with no parole for the murder charge and up to sixty years in prison for each of the other three counts.¹
