Career

Kelly Rowland was a member of Destinys Child from 1997 until 2001 when it was announced they were breaking up in order to pursue solo projects.

Rowland released her debut solo album, Simply Deep, in 2002. The following year, she won a Grammy for her collaboration with R&B star Nelly. Her second album, Ms. Kelly, debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Rowlan has also appeared on several television shows, including The Hughleys, Girlfriends, and Eve. In 2003, she made her big screen debut in the film Freddy vs. Jason.
