Kellie Hoehn
Dakota Scott Benoit and John Garland Pierson broke into the Hoehn residence while the entire family was home on September 3, 2008. Kellie Hoehn, struggled with Benoit over a shotgun while yelling for her husband and telling her two children to hide.
While Kellie held on to the shotgun muzzle, her husband, Keith Hoehn, tackled Benoit. Kellie used a jar candle to knock the intruder in the head, which gave her husband a chance to gain control of the shotgun.
