American actress Katherine Heigl plays the role as Dr. Isobel "Izzie" Stevens on the hit television show Grey's Anatomy for which she won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2007.
Heigl is one of the few who made the transition from small screen to the big screen. During a hiatus from Grey's Heigl appeared in the Judd Apatow comedy Knocked Up for which she gained critical acclaim and the film was a box office success. Heigl's next project was the romantic comedy 27 Dresses, and she is slated to appear in the upcoming film The Ugly Truth with Gerard Butler.

Isobel Stevens
Heigl plays Dr. Izziel Stevens on the ABC medical Grey's Anatomy. Isobel aka Izzie grew up in a trailer park in Chehalis, Washington. She gave birth to a daughter before she left high school. After school she attended the University of Washington and subsidized her education by modeling. Stevens is currently a resident at Seattle Grace Hospital and lives with Meredith Grey.
