Joshua Mauldin
On May 16, 2007, Joshua Mauldin was arrested and charged with injury to a child, causing serious bodily harm, after he allegedly placed his 2-month old daughter, Ana Marie Mauldin into a microwave at his home. Ana Marie suffered third degree burns to her face and hands, injuries Mauldin originally attributed to spilling a pot of hot coffee on her.
Eva Mauldin, the mother of the child, later blamed Satan for telling her husband to microwave their daughter.
Joshua Mauldin was found guilty and sentenced to 25 years in prison on March 26, 2008.

Joshua Mauldin Trial
At Joshua Mauldin's trial, he pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity; however, a psychiatrist enlisted in his defense testified that Mauldin was not so insane as to not know what he was doing. After skin grafting surgery, Ana Marie Mauldin survived the incident and now lives with a foster family.
