Jonathan Darman
Jonathan Darman is a Newsweek journalist who wrote the story Edwards Untucked, in which the names of John Edwards and Rielle Hunter first appeared together.1 According to Darman's account, Hunter befriended Edwards in a bar and became a member of his presidential campaign staff in 2006.1
Jonathan Darman's stories describe Hunter as an amicable woman who strongly believes in astrology and is a New Age devotee.1 She told Darman about her strong belief in Edwards' political future. When asked about the politician's wife, she said "Elizabeth Edwards doesn't give off good energy."1
