Rumors of a Steve Jobs heart attack hit the media on October 3, 2008. The rumor was quickly denied but not before Apple stock plummeted temporarily. The rumor was started by a post on the iReport website.¹

Earlier in 2008, Jobs's health came under scrutiny after some suggested that he looked frail at Apple's 2008 Worldwide Developers Conference. Some feared that the Apple CEO may again be battling or undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer.²
