John Elway is a former quarterback for the Denver Broncos and member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Playing his whole career in Denver, Elway's number 7 was retired by the Broncos, and he was named to the NFL's 1990s All-Decade Team. Career
After graduating from Stanford, Elway was drafted fist overall by the Baltimore Colts in the 1983 NFL Draft, and he was subsequently traded to the Denver Broncos, where he would play his entire career. Elway led the Broncos to the Super Bowl in 1986, where the Broncos lost to the New York Giants. He again led the team to the Super Bowl in 1989, where the Broncos lost to the San Francisco 49ers. Elway eventually led the Broncos to Super Bowl victories in 1998 and 1999, defeating the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons, respectively.
