John Edwards Forgiveness
Former North Carolina Senator and 2004 Democratic candidate for vice-president John Edwards has reportedly been calling close supporters asking them to forgive him for lying about his extramarital affair with Rielle Hunter.1 In an interview with Edwards that aired on Nightline on August 8, 2008, the former presidential candidate admitted that he had lied about the affair while on the campaign trail, but denied being the father of Hunter's child.2
