Trip Details
Pashal and Eriksen departed from Long Beach, California, on June 1, 2008. They ran low on food during their 2,300 mile expedition, but were able to meet up with British rower Roz Savage about 600 miles from Hawaii. Savage, who was also promoting environmental awareness, was running low on water and traded food for water with the men.5 The pair completed their voyage by docking in Hawaii on August 27, 2008.
