Career

Joel Engle grew up in San Francisco. After his mother and grandparents died he became a resident of the Baptist Children's Home. There he joined the choir and fell in love with music.

He attended Oklahoma Baptist University and began self recording his first three hits. Ultimately he joined Doxology Records, completed several national tours, and released the single "Be A Father To Her". During his time at Doxology, Engle and his wife Valerie Engle began their own ministry called Ministry 360. In 2007, Engle announced that he would be leaving the recording industry in the fall of the following year to concentrate on his church work.
