Professional football quarterback Joe Flacco plays for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League.
After recording 2,674 passing yards for 14 touchdowns during the first 15 games of his rookie season, Flacco earned a $3 million bonus from the Ravens on December 24, 2008. The bonus will be split into $750,000 portions and applied to his salary over the next four years. Flacco also has the ability to earn $200,000 for each post-season game that the Ravens win.1

Football Career
Prior to playing in the NFL, Flacco played college football first with the Pittsburgh Panthers, where he played just three games over three seasons before transferring to the University of Delaware. He started in 26 games at Delaware, setting numerous school records including for career and season completions and attempts. Flacco was honored as an All-American selection following his senior year.3
Joe Flacco was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2008 NFL draft. He is only the second quarterback to be taken in the first round by the Raven's in their history.3 Flacco was the starting quarterback in his first ever NFL game when the Ravens opened the 2008 regular season against the Cincinnati Bengals.
