Jingjing the Panda

Jingjing the Panda is one of the five Fuwa, the official mascots of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He represents the traditional element of Wood. The Giant Panda is an iconic Chinese animal, and his headdress is influenced by the lotus flower, a popular emblem during the Song Dynasty.¹ He represents the black Olympic Ring, and is the mascot of strength-based sports.
