Biography

Born 1984 in the fashion hub of Antwerp, Van Der Steen has said that she was a tomboy as a child, and even worked as ball girl for the Royal Antwerp Football Club. She began modeling in her mid teens, using her classic proportions and elegant facial features to promote brands like Dior and Tommy Hilfiger. Van Der Steen was featured on the cover of Ché at age 16—Elle and Sports Illustrated followed respectively, three years later.
