Guide Note:A lawsuit has been filed by actor Rob Lowe and his wife Sheryl Berkoff, alleging that their former nanny, Jessica Gibson, stated that her and Lowe had an intimate relationship. Lowe says that the accusations are "false and defamatory." According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, "The suit against Gibson was filed in Santa Barbara County for breach of written contract, defamation, breach of the duty of loyalty, breach of fiduciary duty, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent affliction of emotional distress, intentional misrepresentation, negligent misrepresentation, trespassing, and abuse of process." Lowe has also filed two other lawsuits, one against another former nanny, Laura Boyce, and one against his former Chef, Peter Clements.
Gibson in turn filed a lawsuit on April 14, 2008 in Santa Barbara against Lowe claiming that he inappropriately touched her and repeatedly exposed himself to her. The suit further alleges that Lowe "placed his hand inside Gibson's pants several times from about Sept. 2005 to around Jan. 2008. The actor also allegedly grabbed her buttocks without her consent around Dec. 2007."
