Jerry Garcia Biopic
A biopic about Grateful Dead frontman Jerry Garcia is currently in the works, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The film will be based on Robert Greenfield's book Dark Star and will focus on Garcia's childhood and early years in San Francisco before he joined the Grateful Dead.1

Dark Star
Robert Greenfield's book, Dark Star, was published in 1997. The book details Garcia's early childhood, time in the military, his years with the Dead, his addiction to heroin and the events leading up to his death in 1995. It has been described as an oral history of Garcia's life featuring interviews with bandmates, friends, family and associates.2
