Early Life

Jerome Keith James was born in Tampa, Florida on November 17, 1975. He attended high school at Pentacostal Christian Academy, then continued his education at Florida A&M University. In 1998, James was selected with the 36th pick in the NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings.¹

Pro Career

In his first season in the NBA, James played in only 16 games for the Kings. After the season he was released by the Kings. James then played basketball professionally for two seasons in Europe. He returned to the NBA in 2001, when he signed with the Seattle SuperSonics. He played four seasons with the Sonics before signing as a free agent with the New York Knicks.²
