Jeffrey Epstein
Jeffrey Epstein is a reclusive billionaire money manager and philanthropist. On June 30, 2008, he plead guilty to the charge of solicitation and procuring a person under the age of 18 for prostitution. He will remain in jail for 18 months and house arrest for a year after that. He will be required to register as a sex offender. Epstein still faces civil suits that were filed in 2007 as well.

Background
In July 2006, Epstein was indicted on a felony charge of soliciting prostitution. After an 11 month investigation it was found that Epstein had paid five underage girls for sexual acts and massages. Three civil lawsuits have been filed against him by individuals claiming they were underage, and were allegedly pressured into a sexual relationships with Epstein. One of the individuals suing him, Maximilia Cordero, was found to have been over the age of 18 at the time her relationship with Epstein. She claimed she was only 16 at the time, but Epstein's attorneys discovered that this was untrue.
