2008 Tour de France
Jausiers is the arrival town for stage 16 of the 2008 Tour de France. After departing Cuneo on July 22, racers will face what VeloNews calls "one of the most intense stretches" in the Tour: 157 kilometers of twisting roads, steep hills and lots of uphill peddling.3
On the route, bikers must ascend (and descend) the "highest paved road in the Alps," the Col de la Bonnette-Restefond.2
