Guide Note

Jason Voorhees is the fictional serial killer and star of the slasher/horror Friday the 13th Films. As a boy, he died over the summer of 1957 while attending Camp Crystal Lake due to the negligence of the counselors. In the first film, the story follows Jason's mother, as she murders the camp's employees who she feel are responsible for the death of her son. She was able to murder 6 of the counselors until a teenager named Alice was able to fend her off and kill her with a machete. In the sequel to the film, Jason rose from the dead and killed Alice in her home avenging his mother and heading back to Crystal Lake to continue killing counselors. Since then he has appeared in 8 more movies, including one that pitted him against genre rival Freddy Krueger.
