Jason Kendall

Kendall was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates on June 1, 1992. He played his first four seasons with the Pirates minor league affiliates. On April 1, 1996, he was called up to make his MLB debut with the Pirates. He played 130 games with the Pirates his rookie season, hitting a .300 batting average. Also in 1996, Kendall was selected for his first of three MLB All-Star Games and selected as the National League Rookie of the Year Award by the Sporting News.

Kendall returned to the Pirates full roster for the 1997 and 1998 seasons. He was limited to just 78 games during the 1999 season after season ending surgery to repair a dislocated right ankle. He returned to the Pirates in 2000, where he stayed through the 2004 season.

On November 27, 2004, Kendall was traded to the Oakland Athletics. He made his first post season appearance in 2006 with the Athletics. He played in the National League Championship Series, where the Athletics lost to the Detroit Tigers.

After nearly three seasons with the Athletics, Kendall was traded to the Chicago Cubs on July 16, 2007. He completed the 2007 season with the Cubs then entered free agency.

On November 21, 2007, Kendall signed as a free agent with the Milwaukee Brewers. Fast Facts
