Jared Allen
Jared Allen is an NFL defensive end for the Minnesota Vikings.
On November 7, 2008, Allen was fined $50,000 for two below-the-knee hits on Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub. On November 19, Allen was fined another $25,000 for a hit on Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The hit drew a roughing the passer penalty during the game.1

NFL Career
During the 2007 season, Allen led the NFL in sacks with 15.5 and was selected to the 2008 Pro Bowl.
Jared Allen has had legal troubles, being arrested for DUI three times in four years (2002-2006). In March 2007, Allen requested a long-term contract from the Chiefs. The team offered him a one year deal and said they would judge both his on and off the field performance in determining if a long-term deal would be made.
