Japan Earthquake July 19 2008
On July 19, 2008, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck off of the eastern coast of Japan.1 The quake occurred in the same spot as the earthquake that struck Japan in June of 2008.2

Tsunami Warning Revoked
The earthquake occurred off the coast of the Fukushima prefecture, which is approximately 150 miles northeast of Tokyo.3
A tsunami warning was issued immediately for northeastern Japan, but was revoked soon after.2
