James Galante
James Galante will serve a 87-month term in a federal prison after being convicted in a federal corruption case. He pleaded guilty to racketeering and conspiracy in operating the business of hauling and disposal of waste in Connecticut.1
Galante is allegedly a member of an Italian organized crime syndicate. Prosecutors say that he conspired with a local crime family to force out competition, monopolize waste disposal services and raise prices at his will. Undercover FBI agents and several accomplices testified against the felon.2
