Jacques Herubel is a former engineer for Concorde's parent company Aerospatiale. A French national, Herubel is one of five people charged with manslaughter in the year 2000 crash of Air France Concorde flight 4590.1 Herubel's co-defendants include two other French citizens and two Americans. The crash killed 113 people.

Allegations
The Concorde crash was reportedly caused by a fuel tank explosion due to debris on the runway.1 A key factor in the case against Herubel—as well as his former Aerospatiale colleague Henri Perrier—is the finding of French investigators that he was negligent in designing the fuel tanks2 and was aware of the flaw.1
