Ivan Rodriguez

Ivan Rodriguez is a catcher for the New York Yankees. A native of Puerto Rico, the Texas Rangers signed Rodriguez as an amateur free agent in 1988, and he made his MLB debut for the Rangers on June 20, 1991. Rodriguez would go on to play 11 seasons for the Rangers, collecting 10 All-Star apperances, 6 Silver Slugger Awards, and an American League MVP award in 1999. In 2003 Rodriguez signed a one-year free agent contract with the Florida Marlins. Following his stint with the Marlins, Rodriguez signed with the Tigers as a free agent.
