Ivan Castro
Ivan Castro is a blind U.S. Army Special Forces soldier who was severely wounded by a mortar shell during combat in Youssifiyah, Iraq, in 2006. Although the explosion put him into a coma for six weeks, tore apart the left side of his face, and shattered his arm and shoulder, Castro recovered and has since returned to duty.

Castro's Current Duties
