Sarah Palin Firing Scandals
As mayor of Wasilla, Palin also fired city librarian Mary Ellen Emmons, but reinstated her shortly after the firing.2 Stambaugh sued to get his job back but his suit was denied. In 2008, Governor Palin abruptly fired, without reason, Walt Monegan, head of Alaska's Commissioner of Public Safety. Monegan and others allege Palin fired him because he refused to fire State Trooper and former brother-in-law of Sarah Palin, Mike Wooten.
