Iran Forced Landing
On October 5, 2008 a plane was forced to land in Iran after it entered Iranian air space.1 A news agency in Iran originally reported that the plane belonged to the U.S military, even though the Pentagon stated that all of its U.S. planes were accounted for. Iran officials said on October 7, 2008 that the news report was not accurate, and the plane was a Hungarian aid plane with no Americans on board.2
