Idaho Exit Polls

The state of Idaho has four electoral votes. State polls show Republican presidential nominee John McCain with a sizable lead of more than 30 percentage points over Democratic nominee Barack Obama. McCain has led Obama by a fairly wide margin since March 2008. Idaho has voted "red" in every presidential election since 1952, except one—voters chose Democrat Lyndon Johnson over Republican Barry Goldwater in the 1964 race. Polls in Idaho close at 8 p.m., local time.^{1 2}
