Ian McShane

Ian McShane is a Golden Globe award winning British actor who stars in the HBO drama series Deadwood. On the show, McShane plays "Al Swearengen", the conniving owner of the Gem Saloon and Whorehouse.

Career

McShane made a name for himself while starring in the BBC drama, Lovejoy. He also appeared as "Don Lockwood" on the show, Dallas and as "Heathcliffe" in the 1967 show, Wuthering Heights.

McShane's film work includes roles in Sexy Beast, Woody Allen's Scoop, The Golden Compass and Death Race.

McShane also lent his voice to several animated films. He has portrayed "Captain Hook" in Shrek the Third, the evil "Tai Lung" in Kung Fu Panda, and "Mr. Bobo" in Coraline.
