Rumors
Anticipation for the next generation of iPod Nano began in summer of 2008. Digg founder Kevin Rose postulated on his blog that Apple would make a big announcement about the devices within a few weeks.1 Tech blogs such as Engadget, Gizmodo and The Unofficial Apple Weblog had been posting rumored "spy shots" of the new Nanos, along with conceptual sketches about how they might appear. (Blog ZDNet postulated that the new iPods may resemble the Microsoft Zune.)2 At 2007's Apple September event, the company announced the iPod Touch, the iPod Nano 3G and the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store.
